Six female students from the Computer Engineering program at UFAGJ have been awarded a scholarship by the Ministry of Education and Science for STEM fields
Six female students enrolled in the Computer Engineering study programme at "Fehmi Agani" University in Gjakova have been selected to receive financial support from the Ministry of Education and Science under the scholarship scheme for female students enrolling for the first time in the 2025/2026 academic year in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) study programmes.
This marks the first year that students from "Fehmi Agani" University in Gjakova have been awarded STEM scholarships by the Ministry of Education and Science. The scholarships were awarded to students of the University's newly established Computer Engineering programme, representing an important achievement for the University and for promoting the participation of women in technology-related fields.
Following the evaluation of applications by the relevant committee of the Ministry of Education and Science, a total of 599 female students from higher education institutions across the Republic of Kosovo were selected as scholarship recipients after meeting the eligibility criteria set out in the call.
The awarding of scholarships to six students from the Computer Engineering programme demonstrates the growing interest of female students in technology and engineering disciplines. This achievement reflects the University's commitment to encouraging and supporting the participation of girls and women in STEM fields, which are among the most important disciplines for scientific, technological, and economic development.
